As the UK’s move to T+1 settlement on 11 October 2027 shifts from planning into delivery, this round table will give firms the chance to test their readiness against emerging industry best practice. Building on the previous SIO / ISITC Europe discussion, and informed by work from the Investment Association and the Accelerated Settlement Taskforce, the session will explore what “good” looks like in practice and where organisations may still face gaps, risks or dependencies.
Attendees will hear perspectives on readiness requirements, including an overview of current industry expectations and a fund manager view on achieving compliance and operational preparedness. The discussion will also focus on organisational readiness and the critical enablers needed across the end-to-end chain, including administrators, custodians, brokers and the buy side.
Through roundtable discussion, participants will examine key challenges, interdependencies and practical solutions to support T+1 readiness without undermining cost efficiency, resilience, control or service quality. The session will also place T+1 in the context of broader market change, including T+0, continuous net settlement, digital currencies and tokenised assets. The aim is to help firms benchmark their preparations, strengthen confidence in their delivery plans, and identify where greater focus or investment may still be needed.
Priority will be given to members of SIO and ISITC. Beyond that, attendance will be confirmed, after registration, by SIO.
