Current Focus

Tooling for Change

  • Big budget renovations are being squeezed and there is little room for enhancing the end user experience day-to-day. Our focus is on:

    1. Enhancing the citizen development capability

    2. Leveraging AI & Data to drive innovation

    3. How do we upskill our people?

    4. End user governance & control

    5. Do change models need to adapt?

Working Groups

  • We raise awareness of our sector by connecting with future talent at careers fairs and insight sessions in schools and on campus.

  • We are focused on ensuring that the talent coming into our sector comes from diverse backgrounds.

Our partnership with The Robertson Trust launched in 2022 and involves volunteers from our community supporting young people, on campus, who face different challenges from historically traditional backgrounds.

Our focus for 2025 is to develop career pathways for Robertson Trust graduates to enter our industry.

Reg & Market Change

  • Our sector is constantly challenged to operate in compliance with global regulations, as well as adopting new and changing regulations. Markets follow much the same trend and so our agenda is focused on those topics that challenge our community the most.

Currently those key topics are: Consumer Duty, DORA/Operational Resilience, Sustainability and the EU AI Act, amongst others!

  • T+1 Settlement has been the focus in recent times. Our community managed the changes in the US market to introduce T+1 in May 2024 and is now preparing for the same in the UK.

  • In partnership with Mind & Mission, we have built the Meta Skills for the Future series which serves to help our community build the skills required now and as the digital future unfolds.

There are three events scheduled throughout 2025 and a library of resources on our website.

  • We develop podcasts, videos and articles based on the experiences of our leadership community.

  • This working group tackles the various challenges presented by suppliers to our sector. This can be a diverse area that focuses on regulation, such as ESG and the impact of supervisory obligations on third parties.

  • We currently have a working group that discusses challenges and developments in accounting standards. For example, sustainability reporting has been a prominent discussion point.
