On April 21st, the Scottish Investment Operations (SIO) Forum, a partnership between Scottish Investment Operations’ members and PwC, will be hosting a panel discussion on regulatory change.
Over the last 18 months, the FS industry has been in the midst of understanding, absorbing, and adhering to significant regulatory reform. A trend that is set to continue into the foreseeable future, with known changes being pushed out to 2018.
Whilst there is a broader understanding of what the regulations mean, and of business requirements at a technical level, there is lesser focus on, and understanding of, the operational and cultural impact that this volume of change has on our businesses.
Aimed at organisations and individuals working towards upcoming changes such as EMIR, MiFID II, and CSDR, our next session in April will be led by a panel formed of Broker, Custodian, Outsourcer, and Asset Management organisations.
We will discuss how clients, counterparts, and peers are approaching the influx of change at an operational level, with a focus on training, resourcing, and implementation, followed by a Q&A session.
With a commitment to building an operations community in Scotland to discuss relevant and emerging issues, the SIO Forum is for operations professionals and is a merger of the existing Glasgow Operations Forum and Scottish Operations Forum.
