Demystifying Data – An introduction to what’s happening on your door step
This session will help you to create a better understanding and awareness of what data trends exist and how it affects industry and each of us. The aim is to review the use of data as a whole and how it can be strategically be used in the next 5-10 years and show positive usages of data across companies and sectors.

What is the Bayes Centre?
As part of the UK Governments City Region Deal focussing on Data-Driven Innovation, the Bayes Centre along with the University’s Easter Bush Campus, Edinburgh Futures Institute, Usher Institute, and the National Robotarium – a partnership with Heriot-Watt University, aims to support the development of world leading technology, attract further investment to the region and support high value jobs for the future.
The Bayes Centre specifically aims to develop and apply data science and AI – drawing meaningful insights from vast amounts of information. It brings together 600 expert thinkers from across the spectrum.
Target Audience: Aimed at individuals who have interest in the future in new technology & big data, how this impacts everybody and what opportunities are out there to help influence direction. All individuals will be impacted with this type of technology, so now is the time to take interest of this important topic.
