Personal Takeaway's on Cyber Security

We were delighted to welcome PwC's John Whitehill to the SIO Forum late last week to chair a discussion on Cyber Security. Covering a lot of ground John ably focused minds on the personal lessons to take away. The most effective breaches are generally simple in nature and exploit lax security - insecure passwords, work emailed to personal addresses to work on at home, sensitive data on shared drives, C drives and much more. While we must be mindful of greater threats, in PwC's experience guarding against these simple areas reduces your risk and exposure substantially. Head to our downloads page now to access some key takeaway's from the event: http://www.sio.org.uk/Media/Default/OtherDownloads/SIO%20Cyber%20Discussion%20Feb%202016%20Summary.pdf

Next up in our SIO Forum series is a panel debate on regulatory change. We are open for bookings now and SIO members should use their usual password to book onto the session from our events page. We hope to see you there!
