Scottish financial services recruitment review now available
Joslin Rowe, the financial services recruitment consultancy, have just launched the latest edition of their annual recruitment review of the Scottish financial services industry. Now in its seventh year, the review surveys employers across all sub-sectors of the industry from banking to life and pensions, asset management and investment operations. 78 employers responded the the 2007 review.
Despite challenging global financial market conditions, more than three quarters of respondents were optimistic for the year ahead, however this was the lowest recorded level since 2002. Like prior years, over half of those surveyed planned to increase permanent staff numbers this year with an average increase in staffing of between 5 and 10%. Less than 10% of employers were predicting a decrease in staff numbers. Investment employers are once again to lead growth.
